1. Basic principle

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Swiss law is applicable (Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) of 25 September 2020, entered into force on 1 September 2023, SR 235.1) and, where applicable, European data protection law (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation)); in particular regarding the monitoring of the behaviour of data subjects residing in the EU (Art. 3 para. 2 lit. b GDPR) and regarding the delivery of products to the EU (Art. 3 para. 2 lit. a GDPR).

This privacy policy at refline.io applies exclusively to the use of our website refline.io and the applicant tool offered at refline.io, in particular, other applicant management tools offered by us are excluded.

4. How do we collect personal data?

Processing of personal data, type, purpose and its use
We receive personal data through our website in various ways by filling out the contact form, registering for our newsletters and making entries in our newsletter settings, registering for webinars or online events, registering for our application (account). The data you provide (e-mail address, surname and first name, title, title if applicable, company, telephone number, password and language preference) will be stored by us in order to answer questions, send you the newsletter or a webinar link by e-mail or grant you access to our application.
In the case of a contact form, we also record the IP address of the sender. This serves the purpose of identifying abusive and unwanted enquiries.
If we request information that is not required for contacting you or for your enquiry, this is marked as optional. This information is used to specify the enquiry and to improve the processing of the request. This information is provided expressly on a voluntary basis and with your consent. If this involves information on communication channels (e.g. email address, telephone number), you consent to us contacting you via this communication channel in order to respond to your enquiry. You can of course revoke this consent at any time for the future.
We delete the data collected in this context after storage is no longer necessary or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations.

5. Social media plugins

We use plug-ins from social networks such as Linkedin and Instagram on our website to publicise our company. The corresponding icons are visible on our website and are deactivated by default. If you use the services of these social networks independently of or in connection with our website, the social networks analyse your use of the plug-in. In this case, information about the plug-in is forwarded to the social networks.

In some cases, Refline AG uses cookies, web beacons and other technologies to automatically collect certain types of information when you visit our website and e-mail us. The collection of this data enables us to personalise your user experience, improve the performance, usability and functionality of Refline's online presence and measure the effectiveness of our marketing activities.

7. Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No other data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the cancellation.
The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
